Hi Felicity Jane fans!
Mandy back with you today to share another traveler's notebook spread using the lovely Jane kit!
When I saw the black & white scallop patterned paper in the kit, it reminded me of waves, and I knew that it would be perfect for documenting some photos from our cruise that we took last year. I'm using a Felicity Jane traveler's notebook insert to scrap all of our cruise photos. I love that it's a quick way to document the many photos that we took while we were away, as well as a lovely way to keep all of those memories together in one place.
This is the opening page in my notebook, introducing our cruise ship. I took these photos while we were waiting to board our ship at Circular Quay in Sydney. We were SO excited!!
As I already mentioned, I really wanted to make use of the black & white scallop patterned paper in the kit, so I used it to cover the left hand side of the spread. I then created a mat for my title to sit on, using one of the solid colored papers from the kit, and I drew a messy border around it to really help it stand out from the patterned paper. I combined the Emeline Puffy Alphas with FJ black Alphabet Stickers to create my title. Underneath my title I added one of the chipboard shapes from the London kit. (These are still available to purchase separately in the shop).
I created some layers underneath my photos using a yellow 3x4 card, the wood grain patterned paper, and another piece of the mint solid color paper. I made sure that I repeated all of the colours that I had used on the left hand side of the spread on the right hand side. This ensures that the pages look cohesive. Up in the top right hand corner of the spread I stamped the phrase 'such a good day' using a stamp from the Sophie kit.
On the bottom of the photos I added a silicone charm that says 'Best Day Ever' (from the Sophie kit). I stamped the date onto one of the labels from the Jane sticker sheet, and then tucked it under the edge of the bottom photo. I finished the page off with a few of the black cardstock stars from the kit.
