Hey Y'all! Carol here, and I am super grateful to be back creating with Felicity Jane for this term. The designs in this month's "Zoey" kit could not have been more perfect for what I wanted to create. Today, marks one month before my daughter's 2nd birthday. I had a box full of memorabilia and photos from her 1st birthday and I wanted to get them documented. Pocket pages seemed the way to go in helping me get all the details in.
How cute is that Zoey girl die cut?!?!!?! Totally loved to include that on my title card. It just feels so festive with a sprinkling of those tiny little puffy stickers.
The floral paper this month is so perfect for coordinating with my photos. From the yellow balloons to my daughter's yellow hair bow, it really gave the page a sophisticated touch. I always say this ....but, Jeana's florals would make the best wallpaper (a girl can dream, right?).
I loved using a few of the stamps to act as sort of a "background" for my journaling. I chose a lighter color to make sure it didn't look too busy, but also didn't just get lost on the card.
Staples seemed to be my "go-to" in getting this page put together and I used several to attach the die cut and acetate pieces. I also found them helpful to add in pieces like the tag from my daughter's birthday dress, and the little receipt and label from the balloons and party food purchases.
Hope this inspires you to gather up a project you've been waiting to document, pull out the floral papers, stamps, and tiny stapler to get it done!
Carol
