Hello, Everyone!
Today I have a fun 6x8 layout to share with you using the gorgeous new Jenny kit!
Although I have plenty of birthday-themed projects in mind to use with this kit, I wanted to share an everyday themed spread with you today because the great thing about this kit is that it truly is versatile enough to be used on any type of project. Plus, every day should be celebrated anyways, right?
For this layout I started by trimming down the lined pattern paper from the Jenny kit to be my background and then layered that on top of some turquoise paper to help it really stand out and bring in more color. From there I matted my photo on some of the polka dot 6x6 pattern paper that came as one of the gifts to subscribers this month (also available in the shop). I love how a lot of the colors from the kit are represented in those dots which helps to tie everything else on the page together.
Next, I layered a couple of strips of the lace fringe pattern paper just below the photo. I love how that brought in more of a bold black element. I wanted to do a bit of journaling, but since the 6x8 layout doesn't allow for a lot of room to do that, I decided to tuck my journaling behind my photo. I applied adhesive to three sides of the pattern paper my photo is sitting on (leaving the side that the journaling tag is sticking out of untouched) and then chose one of the Jenny journaling cards to peek out of the side. I attached one of the die cut tabs to the top of the card to help it look like more of an interactive element.
From there, I finished off my page with some embellishments. I stamped out a couple of the sentiments from the Jenny stamp set towards the bottom of the page and filled in some of the gaps with a few word phrase stickers. I also added a couple of label die cuts, confetti pieces (adhered with staples) and some of the chipboard stars) to the top.
My last addition was the yellow polka dot bow. This bow actually released with the Megan kit, but it was too appropriate not to use it here. Plus, I love how it adds some dimension to the page.
