Christmas album vol. 2 | Jana Bennett

Hello everyone,

I hope you had a lovely Christmas time with your families! Did you get some time for memory keeping as well? Right, so before Christmas I put together a few more days in my advent album of which I am going to show you some details today. The Noel kit is such a lovely collection of materials where one just can't go wrong with regards to where and how you use it!

I had been seeing the pom-pom ribbon over the whole of instagram lately and I was dying to use it in my mini albums. So you can guess how excited I was when it came with my Noel kit! My album is the size of 4x8 and I decided to use one of the 6x6 papers to make a card slightly smaller than 4x6 to fit my pom pom right there. This buffalo plaid paper is just so pretty! The cute little black puffy alphabet stickers are from the Holly kit and they just fit everywhere. So universal! Oh and the lovely girl in PJs and cup of coffee (I am a coffee lover and a PJ lover too for that matter) is just the best die cut shape ever!

I always feel challenged to create some cut title. This one is hand cut since I don't have the cutting machine and it did take some time but it was so much fun. And I am pretty excited and happy about how it all came out.

Last year I asked my oldest daughter to contribute with her drawing to the album and it was a big hit. So I did the same again. You can see one more drawing later, this time from my son.

I love using different sizes of paper and cards in a minialbum. I feel it just makes it more interesting, doesn't it? For that poinsetta photo I used a journaling card - a picture from one side, journaling from the other. I also used my metal die to cut a circle from the photo with two lit advent candles (I am always so happy when I find out that my photo fits into one of the metal die cuts!).

As I mentioned before I went for a 4x8 size mainly because I wanted to use as much material from the kit as possible. The acetate dividers just needed a bit of trim and they are ready to go!

I also used the cardstock dividers and this one is my most favourite. The other side is plain white which makes it ideal for some journaling. And the puffy stickers are just the cutest!

I love large photos! Give me any excuse to print one out and I surely will!

Quite recently I noticed in the kit this beautiful embossed paper bag. Perfect for a few extra photos and some stories.

I am always happy to use some interactive elements in my mini albums. This one is in an accordion style full of photos. I used the cute miniwide paper clip to make sure it doesn't open all the time. On the right you can see my son's drawing of a Christmas tree that actually fits perfectly with my large photo.

Fourteen days done, ten more to go! I really hope to have this album finished by the end of January. That is exactly the time when I am usually tired of Christmas crafting and ready to hit the new crafting year!
