Christmas is my most favorite time of year. When I opened my box of JOY deliciousness recently I let out a little squeal when I saw that darling Joy die cut! She is just the cutest ever and I knew I wanted to use her on a layout straight away!
I couldn’t go past the classic red and white striped pattern paper as my background, so I layered the red solid patterned paper then the white woodgrain patterned paper as my background. As I was flipping through the 3x4 journaling cards the present card took my eye so I knew I had to use that as well. So as a further layer I created a grid background with the 3x4 cards and my photo. I added my journaling to the back of one of my cards as well to complete the grid. To complete my title I added some of the foam alphabet stickers to one of the journaling cards. I adore the texture that it brings to the card.
I then scattered some of the yummy embellishments, the chipboard circles, sequins and the washi - overlapping the cards to create a cohesive feel. I also slipped one of the designer tags under my photo for some extra texture and layering! The red and gold from the die cuts were a perfect accent to my photo.
I adore the simple layers that are created by the cards, die cuts and embellishments. If you are a clean scrapper like me, a grid design plus a few extra layered embellishments is the perfect way to get your story told!
