Hello FJ Friends!
Kerstin here with a Christmas idea. There's nothing better than starting the holiday season prepared - right? I thought I'd show you a little packaging idea today that is easy to prepare!
In these small boxes can be hidden sweets or small messages. You can use them as gift tags or hang them on your Christmas tree. Let's start now!
These cute little stockings are approximately 6 x 5 inches in size. I have used the magical Ivy collection.
Here I show you the pattern I made for it so you can imagine the Christmas Stocking Pillow Box. I cut my cardstock to a size of 8 x 10 inches. For the 10 inch length, you fold at 1/2 inch and 4 1/2 inches. At 9 1/2 inches you only fold in the top third. Further down you draw the stocking shape with a pencil. You turn your cardstock and fold at the top of the boot shaft at 1 1/2 inches and at the bottom we will need a 1 inch wide strip.
You draw a small circle where the fold lines meet using a template, plate or CD. In photo 1 you can see where a small circle is needed.
Opposite lying you need a folded semicircle. Place your tool back where the fold lines meet and use a folding pencil to firmly trace the semicircle. You still draw the stocking cover and then cut out. Fold the box on the fold lines and tape the 1/2 inch wide strip to the opposite side with liquid glue or double-sided tape.
Carefully fold in the folded half circle and your Christmas Stocking Pillow Box is ready. STOP...I attached an eyelet to the back so that I can pull my hanging string through. We're ready to start decorating!
I also made a pattern for the top of the stocking, traced it onto colored cardstock, cut it out and decorated it. In the next pictures you can see how I decorated.
The amazing papers and embellishments of the Ivy collection offer many many possibilities!
Here I show you another photo with the back of the Christmas Stocking Pillow Box.
I wish you a lot of fun being creative so that you can start well prepared in the Christmas season! I’m already excited to see your creations!
See you soon!
