Christmas Wishes | Peggy Emmrich

Happy Humpday everyone! Its Peggy here with you today, and I'd like to share a new spread in my Traveler's Notebook.

When I moved to Denmark a couple of years ago, I thought snow would not be rarity - the country being up north and all -  but man, was I wrong.. In winter, it's warmer here than where I come from in Germany! Needless to say, I haven't seen much snow these past winters. This year however, we had a little bit of snow in November which let's me hope for the best and a little bit of white Christmas magic :)

That being said, with my spread today, I was trying to capture that snowy, wintery feeling I get when I step out of my door and all I see is soft, white snow. Therefore, I decided to stick to mostly black, white and silver embellishments.

I used papers from both the 'Hello, Christmas!' and 'Oh, Deer!' Kit, the 'Hello, Christmas!' Stamp set and Star-Sequences. The latter were quite a pain to adhere, but with a little bit of patience, I managed to get them on my page. The struggle was absolutely worth it! I stamped the other stars on a piece of white scrap-paper and cut them out by hand before I adhered them to the page. That way, I was able to add a little dimension and contrast even without foam dots.

I also added some stitching to my page. Now, the tag with the 25 on top seems to hang off the page rather than just float in the middle. I also typed my journaling and Christmas Wish on vellum before I adhered it to the 3 by 4 inch card from the cut apart sheet.

My page felt still empty, so I decided to add two flowers, that I fussy cut from one of the papers, a sentiment from the stamp set and a glittery snow flake from my stash.

Enjoy the rest of your week!
