Hello, Everyone!
Today I'd like to share a layout with you using the gorgeous new 'SARAH' kit! Each of these pages is roughly 4.5 inches by 8.25 inches (roughly the size of a TN spread). I love using this size inside my 6x8 albums because the pages can easily be mixed with a variety of pocket page sizes as well!
In this layout I wanted to document my daughter's love of books. If you're familiar with my projects you'll know that this is not the first layout I've made about this subject, however, this is the first time I've actually taken a photo of the books she's currently into. I'm hoping to record lots of likes and dislikes this year now that it's a little more obvious of the things she's loving and not loving so much.
I started by trimming a couple of pattern papers to the 4.5 x 8.25 inch size and punched my holes first so I wouldn't have to worry about punching through layers or journaling later. Next, I layered some white cardstock so I'd have a bright base for all of my other layers.
On the right side of my layout I layered a library card under my top photo and a tag under the bottom one. I also used some of the fun photo corners on each of the photos. I finished the right side off with a label at the top, which I stamped "Choose Happy" on. When working with all of the pieces on the right side I tried to make sure that not all of the pieces were floating on their own, which means that each piece is somehow connected to another.
On the left side I used some of the 'SARAH' alphas to spell out "Current Loves" and typed my journaling onto a 3x4 card. I finished off this side with some of the pretty die cuts.
I'm so happy with how this turned out and grateful to have some of my daughter's favorite books at the moment documented!
Happy Crafting,
Sarah
