As soon as I opened my box of delish goodies in the new Kate collection, I knew I wanted to make a layout with just the black and white elements with the kit... and when you through in some pops of gold from the kit then it just takes it to a new level. Let me share with you the first layout I made from this months Kate kit!
I started off by layering three of the pattern papers, the stars, the plain black and the black and white stripe to create my background.
I wanted a way to use the gorgeous vellum in the kit so I found a fun cut file from the Silhouette online store that matched my husbands glasses, cut it out with some white cardstock and then backed it with the number vellum from the Designer Vellum pack. This is my favorite accent on the page and I will definitely be doing it again using the other pieces of vellum in the kit! Do you see I also backed my photo with another piece of vellum, this time the striped vellum for a soft background.
I then went ahead and added my title using the gorgeous Kate Glitter Foam Alphabets and popped some of the Kate Die cut shapes in and around my glasses accent. I like how this keeps everything tied in! Also I added some simple stamping from the Kate Stamps!
I thought that bow 3x4 card was the perfect fit for my winter scarf so i layered that over my photo. I then added some of the gold accents from the Die Cut shapes to complete my layout.
I can't wait to be back with my next layout very soon!
