Hi FJ Friends!
It’s Sheree here with our very last ever sketch challenge. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed creating the sketches each month and I hope you’ve enjoyed them and created some of your own beautiful pages using them too. Here is the final design I’ve come up with for December…
I decided to use the sketch to create a page for my December album. Here’s what I came up with….
Since the page size for my album is 7 x 8.25 inches, I had to modify the sketch a little to suit. I still stuck to the basic design but reduced the circles in the middle to only 4.
Of course, I had to use the gorgeous Ivy Christmas Kit for my page! I cut ¾ inch strips of the “Candy Cane” paper for down the sides of the page and I added a white cardstock scalloped strip as well. I used an Ivy Chipboard Number at the top with some fussy cut holly from the “Floral” paper.
My photos were punched to 1.75 inch circles and the decorative circles are the same size with a 1.5 inch circle in the middle. All the circles were added to the page with foam tape. The little puffy mug sticker is from the Bella Puffy Stickers pack. The Santa face is from the Day 7 FJ 12 Days of Christmas Printables free download available in the shop…it’s so cute!
Under my printed journaling is a label and a stamped piece that says “’tis the season” to finish off the page.

My favourite thing about these monthly blog posts has been seeing how everyone puts their own spin on the layouts and our creative team always come up with beautiful and inspiring projects for us!
First up is Desiree Lamar with her sweet layout. Here she is to tell us all about it...
This was such a beautiful sketch to recreate. It really set the tone for an easy-to-follow, beautiful and classic layout using this holiday photo of my mother and brother. I used the Ivy patterned papers for my background and to create the circle grid pattern. To add interest, I alternated the smaller Ivy Chipboard frames with the patterned circles. I embellished my grid with Ivy Die Cuts and Chipboard Bits. I typed my journaling on vellum and placed it below the grid. I completed my layout with fussy-cut Ivy florals and the gold foil "Joy" puffy sticker for my title. I wish you all a very merry Christmas!

Next we have a gorgeous page from Karlla Dauer. Let's see what she created...
I love being able to use the circles as "little tags" decorated and adding photos makes everything fun. I wanted to bring the beautiful houses of the FJ as a highlight to this layout. The home role on the sides in Black and White was my choice to highlight the embellishments.

Valeska Guimaraes has also created a beautiful page with the sketch...
Hi FJ friends,
Another beautiful sketch challenge for you to get inspired and create with us. My version comes in a 12x12 layout with the beautiful Ivy collection. I was very inspired by the circle drawings in the middle of the sketch. I imagined eye-popping Christmas balls. I printed out three pictures from different days of our Christmas preparation last year, and another three circles I made in 3D.
I cut three 2.5 inch circles, folded them in the middle, and glued just one of the flaps to another circle, leaving the movement of the paper well marked enhancing the volume.
I used chipboard flair and bits, die cut shapes to decorate and also the chipboard numbers to number the days of the photos.
To finish with a beautiful look, the epoxy dots are just perfect!
Hope you get inspired and join us in our sketch challenge!
Valeska
