Hello everyone, it’s Lindsey! This is my second year doing a daily December album and I thought I’d share the setup of my intro pages with you all! Be sure to checkout the video at the end of the post for all of the extra details.
I LOVE all of the adorable embellishments in the Noel Collection this year! I like to gather a pile of specific ones that I want to try and use when I sit down to work on a set of entries that way I don’t forget any as I create.
I had a lot of fun playing with acetate pages last year and this year isn’t any different! For my title page I used one of the acetate dividers and layered up a variety of items...including the ribbon from the packaging that I turned into a big fluffy bow. The “December” was made using the digital element from the Felicity Jane shop that I cut out using an electronic die cutting machine and layered several of them to give it dimension. I decided to save the Noel chipboard numbers for my daily entries and used the Holly numbers instead for the “2019”.
I didn’t want the rest of my album to be seen from behind the acetate title page so I layered a piece of patterned paper behind it. The papers from Felicity Jane make it easy for front and back pages since they are double sided. For the backside, I added a calendar that I created using some more digital elements from the shop but you could easily use some of the die cut pieces and alpha stickers if you wanted something with dimension.
The “my reason why” page is something that I really like to embellish up since a lot of text on a page can be overwhelming. The Gold Foil Puffy Alphas are a favorite of mine and are a perfect size for a title like this. I knew I’d probably hoard those adorable textured trees so I decided to just go ahead and use all of them on this page.
That frosted acrylic tree was a little tricky to hide adhesive on but I got a little creative and used some of the confetti pieces to hide some foam dots. I also used a couple of washi tapes to ground the trees so they aren’t just floating on the page.
I’m obsessed with the look of these albums sitting on my shelf! I used a variety of the trimmings from the kit and the star from the packaging to create a little cluster to hang on the outside of the album. This makes it easy to identify specific albums as I get more than one done.
Are you creating any type of daily album for December? Share in the comments some of the ways you plan on working through a project like this. Be sure to check out my process video below and then hurry on over to the shop to grab some of the holiday products because they are going quick!
Until next time!
<3 Lindsey
