December Album | Kathleen Graumüller

December Album | Kathleen Graumüller

Hello lovelies :) It’s Kathleen here again and today I want to share a glimpse into my December album with you. For my album I’m using the Felicity Jane Joy kit. For my cover I chose two wood veneer boards from my stash and some book binding rings. I love using book binding rings for albums like this because they make it really easy to switch up the order, add something in or take something out, which is always good when you don’t know yet how many photos and stories you will end up with ;)

For my pages I cut down some of the patterned papers, vellum sheets and some of the acetate pages from the Joy kit to fit my album size (5.5“x7“). I also included some old book pages from my stash because right now I’m really into this mix of patterned papers and book pages :)

(You can watch a flip-through video at the end of this post)

I also made sure to keep things interesting by including different sized pages, pocket pages and some fold-outs here and there. For now the pages are still relatively empty; I want to wait with the embellishing until I know what photo(s) and story go with what page.

My goal is to document the whole of December (so until New Year’s Eve). But I won’t worry too much about having a photo and/or story for every day. I made a list of ideas for days where nothing in particular happened. Here are a few of them:

    • favourite Christmas songs or current playlist
    • wish list
    • Christmas bucket list
    • gift ideas
    • my favourite things about Christmas time

Right now my album is still quite empty (it’s still only Dec, 7th) but I thought I would show you my whole album anyway so you might get some more ideas for what you can include in yours or how you could decorate your pages.

So here’s a short walk-through my album so far. (PS: I’m sorry for my voice, I still have a cold)

As you can see, the last number I added to my pages is 23. I didn’t add any more because I’m not sure, how many pages I will have filled up until then; I might have to add some more pages or take some out, so I can still add those numbers later on :)

I hope you liked this short flip-through (sorry again for the voice & coughing ;) ) and maybe got some new ideas for your album!

Are you working on a December album, too? What is your plan/goal for your album? I would love to get some more ideas for what I can add for those days where I have no photos or stories.

Thanks for stopping by!
Kathleen
