December Album Pages | Anne Keller

Hello FJ friends,

it's my turn today and I want to share some pages of my December album with you. I hope you're ready for a big post... Doing a December album isn't an easy project for me, because we're often sick during the month, there is a lot more to do to prepare everything and beside all I'm working full-time. But as soon as the album is finished, it's such a great treasure, full of memories, happy faces, some secrets and longing. So I'll try to keep up and create my memory book. Feel free to join me for our first days of December.

I already shared my title page, but to complete this post I added it here again. The page is simple: 3 stamp phrases and a lot of rosettes. I tried some arrangements until I was happy with it, then I glued down everything. I chose 'advent time' as my title and decorated everything with little bits and pieces from Holly.

For my next page - the introduction or reason why page - I used one of the cardstock dividers and a FJ cut-file from the Silhouette Store #281460. I decorated the page with felt stars and some little puffy stickers. On the inside I glued down a printed vellum with all my thoughts about christmas this year. Maybe I'll add a calendar under the flap later. Just an idea.

On the backside I used the little pocket all the mini goodies came with. I love the embossed polka dots. I want to add some lovely bits and pieces in it - some wrapping paper, a serviette, a tag or something else that's pretty. I'm sure this will look beautiful.

Then I used a package and some sequins for a little shaker pocket. I want to add a photo of us later. On the backside some facts about us.

Finally I started with my December days. The first day we were welcoming back our little elf Ella. The kids were wishing and longing the whole year to see her again. So the first thing they did on day 1: opened the door and found Ella sitting there with all their Christmas books and music. The kids were so so happy.

I used some journaling cards and just a few embellishments: a star clip, some little puffy stars, journaling printed on vellum and again some heat embossing.

On the back day 2 and our advent numbers. We made them last year. And I arranged them with some decoration, fake snow and FJ snowflake sequins on a white tray. I used just some labels and word stickers to embellish everything.

The next page is some sort of a divider. I used a ripped piece of vellum and heat-embossed some snowflake stars and a phrase on it. It's super easy but looks so good. The Gold embossing is really shiny.

Day 3 shows our advent calendars. There is one for the kids with some toys, some adventures (like chips for a carousel) and some special treats. Then one with chocolate (also for the kids), a calendar with tea and little sweets for my husband and two (oh yes, 2!) calendars for me: one with crafty supplies from a friend and one with sweets and love-you-messages from my husband. We arranged everything on our side board. I love how it looks. I used a cardstock pocket page to collect all the messages my husband wrote for me and I think I'll put also some wrapping paper and maybe a candy paper in it. On the pocket I created a mini layout - a staple of lovely paper, a random star, a gold clip, a Phrase sticker and one of the beautiful gold numbers. Some journaling printed on vellum. And it's done.

On the back you'll find a star cut-file backed with a beautiful dots paper from the Jeana kit and a vellum rosette with a chipboard circle. Some gold splatters and it's done.

I have one more filler or divider page to show you: this lovely negative of the gold chipboard numbers. Too beautiful to put it in the garbage. I layered a label, a wood veneer, a die cut and a puffy sticker on it and I'm so happy with it. I won't add a photo or story to this page. Just something lovely in between all the stories and photos.

I hope you liked my pages and found some inspiration to start your own December album. Be sure to tag us #felicityjane and #fjholly if you use FJ goodies for your books. We'd love to see it.
