December Album Pages | Tina Stepanova
Hello everyone!
Can't believe there is only one week left until Christmas! How is your December documenting going? Do you feel a little bit overwhelmed with so many gorgeous and inspiring projects around and such a great variety of beautiful papers and embellishments for your December album? I suggest you start with simple steps. First of all choose the photos you'd like to document, maybe go through the chosen ones one more time if you still have too many. Then try to sketch approximate layouts of your album so that you will know which photos in what size to print. As for me this process of preparation and photo printing is the most difficult, once I have my photos ready to document things get much easier and much more enjoyable!
So today I want to share with you a few pages I've completed in my December album. I decided to use this year's Felicity Jane Christmas kits to document our December 2017 memories. I should say that my title page was inspired by the awesome projects Sheree Forcier created with the digital Cozy kit. I simply created this layout in Photoshop using a gingham pattern paper, a Christmas tree ephemera piece and a journaling card from the kit. After printing it on a white cardstock and trimming it to fit into the 6x8 Noel album I added numbers using the Harper alphabet stickers and a few mini acrylic star confetti here and there on the tree.
After that I didn't push myself into documenting each December day in order, instead I started to work on those pages I wanted more, it helps me to keep my mojo.
On the right hand side of this spread I adhered three photos to a pattern paper and added my journaling printed on a vellum. After that I added a few embellishments from the Noel kit and a number 7 using the Harper alphabet stickers.
Next I trimmed a green plaid pattern paper to fit into the album and decided to create a vellum pocket on it. So I used the FJ Noel Christmas Stickers print and cut file from the Silhouette Design Store to print these wreath and gnome on a vellum and after that I stitched it to the background paper.
Next I simply glued two photos together, punched a hole at the top and inserted a piece of golden trim to make it look like a tag.
On the back side of that page I created a layout similar to the day 7 one: adhered the photos, added a few ephemera pieces, a bird puffy sticker from the Noel kit and a cork number 9 from my stash. To finish it off I added a few strips of paper with the journaling printed on them.
I hope you enjoy playing with the FJ Christmas kits as much as I do! And if you haven't already started documenting your December memories I hope you will give it a try! Thanks so much for joining me on the blog today!
Tina x
