Hello everyone,
Are you as excited about the December documenting as I am? Such a precious time! I can't wait to use the beautiful Coco kit. Today I have for you some mini-album inspiration and last year's Noel kit which was so brilliant to work with. You can still find individual items in the shop. Anything Christmasy from FJ is just so pretty!
Last year I went for a 4x8 size mini album so that I could use most of the items from the Noel kit like dividers and pockets. I am still a bit unsure about 6x8 albums: if I am able to fill them, but seeing how full this little buddy got I might give 6x8 a try this year. The FJ albums are too pretty not to be used, right?
To hold the album together I used the red ribbon from last years FJ packaging. Thanks to the new FJ book rings I could make the album this big. They are of such a good size and quality!
I will show you just a few pages. You can find more details in my blog posts from last Christmas and at the end of this text there is a flip through video. This spread is all about our daughter's birthday. I had many photos (again) therefore I created a waterfall. To attach the photos I used strips of vellum and attached them to the backing paper with a few stitches.
Large photos are my favourite and they look so good in these types of albums. It was a bit tricky for me to choose just a few since I mostly take landscape pictures. On the right hand side I created a little pocket to hold more photos, tags and a journaling card telling the story of our homemade gingerbread house.
With the next spread I got inspired by Ulli's sketch for this month and all the circles.
This is one bulky interactive element but I love making accordions! There are two in the album and this one is secured by an elastic band.
FJ December kits always include some beautiful dividers in their kits and I have used a few in the album. Merry and bright is one of them.
Some of the pages are of a smaller size. I like it when there is variety of formats. As you can see I used quite a few chipboard flairs. They are so versatile, easy to work with and pretty.
And now the video flip through. Hopefully you find there some inspiration.
Thank you so much for being here with me today. I can't wait to see what Coco projects you all come up with! I love seeing your inspiring ideas all over social media!
