Hi FJ friends!
Mandy here, and today I have something a little bit different to share with you using the Lola kit! Have you ever thought about stepping out of the box, and using your Felicity Jane kits to create something other than a layout or card, etc? I was recently in need of a pretty gift bag for my daughter to give a present to her dance teacher, and instead of rushing out to the shops to purchase one, I decided to decorate a brown paper bag that I already had. The end result was really pretty, and I love that it was personal as well… So much better than a bought one! And best of all, my daughter was over the moon to be able to give it to her dance teacher!
Here’s what I used to decorate my bag…
I’m totally in love with the florals in the Lola kit, and I think I would be completely happy if I could have an endless supply of that floral patterned paper! I decided to fussy cut the largest of the floral clusters, and I adhered it so that some of the leaves were hanging over the edge of the bag. I also added a strip of the black & white dot patterned paper along the bottom of the bag, and I tucked a strip of one of the solid color paper scalloped branding strips under the edge.
I finished the bag off by tying a Lola die cut tag to it, and I added the first letter of my daughter’s dance teacher’s name to the tag using the chipboard alphabet stickers from the kit.
Once I’d placed the gift inside I tucked some of the black and white polka dot tissue paper that’s used to wrap our FJ kits, inside the bag. I love how this just finishes it off!
Thanks so much for joining me here today! I hope that you’ve been inspired to create something a little different with your FJ kits as well!
