Hello friends! I am back with another layout using the August Zoey kit. After looking through my remaining bits and pieces, I noticed that I had few yellow, black, and white elements leftover. I decided to narrow my focus and create a clean layout based on these colors.
First, I started with a piece of textured white card stock by American Crafts (from my stash), and positioned three journaling cards from the kit in a horizontal fashion across the page. This is a great way to incorporate pocket journaling cards on a scrapbook layout!
Next, I mounted my photo on Fun Foam to add a bit of dimension. To the right of the photo I used a tiny attacher to adhere a black dotted acrylic tab. To the left of the yellow floral journaling card, I added a die cut label that reads “My Favorite”.
I created a small banner at the top of the journaling cards using the Zoey Tiny Tags die cuts – this element adds a lot of whimsy and movement to the top of the layout. To the middle journaling card, I adhered a small black and white striped banner flag and stamped a sentiment that reads, “The Cutest”. To the black and white striped journaling card, I added a chipboard number “7” from the kit to represent my daughter’s age (she is the subject of this layout) and layered a yellow heart on top of the seven.
I created the title “Degas Girl” using the Outline Alpha Stamp Set and Zoey Puffy Alphabet font stickers. To the bottom of the layout, I added a strip of pattern paper (Confetti and Hearts), a die cut bow and a flower that I fussy cut from the Floral and Swiss Dots pattern paper.
I hope you were inspired to create something beautiful today! See you next time!
