Hi FJ Friends!
Today I have a traveler’s notebook spread to share with featuring the beautiful Taylor Kit!
I wanted to document the day I made these Anzac biscuits earlier this year because they turned out so perfectly...so chewy and delicious just the way my Mum makes them. I'm not a huge fan of baking but once in a while I'll get the urge to make something and I was so happy that everyone enjoyed them these much! I ended up making another batch that day.
I absolutely love the “Plaid” paper in the paper pack so I knew I wanted to use it on this spread today. I chose a neutral paper from the pack called “Dashes” to use as my page backgrounds. I cut the pages to size, then added a piece of the plaid paper at the bottom of each page. I also grabbed my sewing machine and added stitching around the border of the pages and across the top edges of the plaid.
The photo was added to the first page and I adhered the rust scalloped die cut down the left side before stitching along the edge. The title was adhered down the side of the photo using the gorgeous Taylor alphabet stickers and a little die cut heart was added to the top left of the photo with a foam dot.
I stamped a phrase from the Hope Stamp Set onto one of the label stickers and adhered it under the photo, then added a row of stitching.
On the second page is my journaling. I printed it out onto vellum before layering it onto the “Today’s win” journaling card, then stitched across the top and bottom to add some texture. As an extra layer I tucked one of the die cut tags in behind the top edge of the journaling card and stapled a piece of essentials ribbon to the top. I also added the super cute “Home” die cut piece to the left side of the card.
At the bottom right of the card I created a little embellishment cluster using two more die cuts and some messy thread. I used my FJ Roller Date Stamp to add the date to a Megan Tiny Tag with a little bit of twine, then added it to the cluster to finish it off the spread.
You can see all the details in my process video below...
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing how I’ve put this project together using the lovely Taylor Kit!
Thank you for stopping by the blog today!
