Happy October everyone!
I’m starting off the month working on my pocket pages and today I have a two-page spread to share with you featuring the beautiful Emily Kit. I’m absolutely loving the colours and florals in this collection!
I went through the journaling cards and chose the green and white spot, the one with the floral at the bottom and another card which had three sections made up of two patterned strips and a white strip. I also grabbed the yellow library card…because I love yellow!
I chose the green spotted card to be at the top of my first page. To decorate, I added a piece of white cardstock with a stitched border then created a cluster with some fussy-cut flowers from the Floral paper and the “happy moments” die cut piece. I love how this card turned out!
Next to that is the photo of the cute cockatoo that’s been visiting our backyard lately. I simply added a chipboard flair, die cut heart and the stamped “hello” word from the Mari Stamp Set.
At the bottom of this page is another photo. There was a big space in the middle of the photo where there was nothing going on so I added a die cut label and the “happy happy happy” stamp from the Tori Stamp Set then stitched across it with my sewing machine.
The floral journaling card to the right of the photo I added my text to using my computer and printer. I added a die cut label above the journaling with a stamped phrase from the Mari Stamp Set and did a little stitching.
At the top of the second page is more journaling. I printed it onto white cardstock and cut it to a tag shape before stitching around the edge and adding some yellow Essentials Cotton Ribbon to the top. I stamped the date onto white cardstock, cut it out and positioned it above the journaling. The tag was then adhered to the journaling card.
For the photo of the flowers I decided to repeat what I’d done with the previous photo and added a label with a stamped word…this time from the Emily Stamp Set. I also stitched across it to add texture.
I added a chipboard flair to the photo at the bottom left of the page and thought it didn’t need anything else.
I printed more journaling onto white cardstock and added it to the yellow library card and stitched around the edge, then adhered a cardstock tab sticker to the top with the words “my story” from the Mari Stamp Set.
There is a video below if you'd like to see my process...
The Emily Kit made it so easy to put this spread together and those florals make me super happy!
I hope I’ve given you a few ideas that you can use on your next pocket page! Thanks so much stopping by the blog today!
