"Enjoy Life" Mini Album | Anna Blades

Hi there FJ friends!

It's Anna here with you today and I'm super excited to share this mini album with you. What I like the most are layouts, but once in a while, I create a mini album. The Amanda Kit is beyond beautiful, so I was inspired to make this one. I used a bunch of photos of my daughters that I took when we went for a picnic one day, and they're wearing the same dress as Amanda, so I thought they were perfect for that project.

As soon as I saw the Floral & Chevron paper, I knew it would be my cover. I used a pink suede fabric for the spine. The color matches perfectly with the collection. And of course, the Amanda die cut shape had to be on the cover. For the title, I mixed this tag with the word "life" from the die cut shapes with the Essentials Puffy Alphabets. The final touch was this cute bow from the Chipboard Bits, which are totally adorable.

This album is 6 x 4.75 inches. For the base of my pages, I trimmed four 11.5 x 4.5 white cardstock strips and two more from vellum. Then, I folded them in half and I created two little books with 6 pages each. With my crop-a-dile I made holes and I tied the pages to the cover with white cord.

For the first page, I used the branding strip from the kit, which is fantastic because you have all the patterns on a smaller scale. I used it a lot. I also took advantage of the thank you card by cutting and sticking it on top of a journaling card to make a pocket.

I don't make project life or pocket pages, so I used most of the journaling cards in this mini album. The size was perfect for matting my photos, creating pockets, or embellishing the pages. I also cut one of the journaling cards diagonally to make the background of one page., and used another one as a tag with the pretty dark green cotton ribbon attached.

In my previous post, I had already told you how much I like the Amanda stamp set. I used it a lot in this mini album. I'm so in love with all these fonts, and they look gorgeous everywhere. I stamped them directly on the pages, on the journaling cards, or on pieces of die-cut cardstock.

I really enjoyed making this mini album. This kit is so inspiring and the color palette is gorgeous. And one of the things that I love most about Felicity Jane's collections is that you can mix all the products. It has a classic and elegant style that never goes out of style.

Here you have a little flip through video of the album, so you can see all the details:

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope this project brings you some inspiration and I would love to read your comments. See you soon!

This is one beautiful and inspiring mini book. You have a wonderful keepsake for your girls. Question – how did you make the book covers? Did you use chipboard? I really love the book binding you did!
I have three sweet granddaughters and am thinking I could make them each a little sweet book.
Thanks , Mary
