It's Tina here! And today is time for our Friday favorites and I want to share my new traveler's notebook spread created with the gorgeous Amanda collection. There are so many pretty things in the kit but the paper pack is what stole my heart this month! So many lovely prints, such a beautiful colour scheme, I simply fell in love!
So once I opened my FJ box I started fussy cutting all the beautiful tabs right away. And that is when I decided to use photo strips of my cat and me for the new project. I simply added two tabs at the top of each photo strip and stamped words "so much" and "loved" using the Amanda and Shay stamp sets.
After that I made a 3.5 x 5 inch vellum pocket to hold these photos, cut a medium sized heart out of a plain greenish paper from the kit, and glued it down to the pocket. To add some contrast I adhered a cardstock label with the word "today" layered onto the heart.
As a background I decided to use one of my favorite papers from the kit -- mustard yellow and white polka dot. I trimmed it to the size of 4.25 x 8.25 inches and added the already embellished vellum pocket with the photo strips.
The right hand side of the spread I made as a flip up card. On the front of it I used another favorite paper -- the gorgeous mustard lemons. I trimmed two 4.25 inch x 8.25 inch pieces of this paper and cut out a big heart inside them.
Next I printed my journaling onto plain white cardstock and trimmed it to the size of 4.75 inches x 8.25 inches and folded it 0.5 inch from the edge on its right hand side. Then I adhered a piece of vellum to the cut out heart on the back side of the lemon piece of paper, glued down to it the folded piece of white cardstock and added the other piece of the lemon paper on the top. To finish the spread I simply added my title "everyday life" using a die cut piece from the kit and pinkish puffy alphabet stickers.
