Hello everyone! I'm so thrilled to be joining the Felicity Jane Creative Team and sharing my first project with you here on the blog! I live on the Gold Coast, Queensland here in Australia with my husband, two sons and daughter. When I'm not scrapbooking you'll find me hanging out with my family or crocheting cute doll hats for my Etsy store. I love going to the movies, taking the kids to the beach...and Instagram! (You can find me there as @shereeforcier if you'd like to say hello.) I'm currently on the Jot Magazine Creative Team and I've been a scrapbooker and cardmaker for about 14 years now. I've recently started to play with pocket scrapbooking, travellers notebooks, and planners too...it's always fun to try something new!
I was so excited to create my first project with the gorgeous Felicity Jane London Kit! The colours are just so pretty and when I saw the stamp set I knew that I had to use them too!
I started my page with the rainbow striped 3 x 4 card and the cute little chipboard triangles in colours that matched the stripes on the card. My design began to fall into place from there.
I cut the card down the middle so I could make it look wider under my photo, then layered it with some the of the gorgeous floral paper. The little chipboard triangles were then adhered into place on each side.
I decided on the scalloped patterned paper as the outside border of the page since the colours matched so beautifully, then added some stitching with my sewing machine.
Next was the fun part...stamping!
I selected a variety of stamps from the London stamp set and then added a few more from the Felicity Jane Note to Self stamps to complete what I wanted the journaling to say.
After adding a few black watercolour paint splatters I added my stamping. I love how crisp and clean the images came out on the page! They really were so beautiful to use.
Underneath the photo I stamped onto a label from another trimmed down 3 x 4 card and added some of the chipboard alphabet for the main part of my title. I then continued stamping down the page, added the date and it was complete!
I'm so happy with how this page turned out and I just know I'll be reaching for those gorgeous stamps time and time again. I'm loving the London kit so far and already have ideas for my next project. I'll be back to share it with you soon!
