Hello everyone, it’s Lindsey!
A few weeks ago I shared on IGLIVE how I created a confetti Memory dex card using some products from Felicity Jane. Since it was only available for a short time, I decided to create a tutorial for you guys to see how I put it together. Be sure to check out the process video at the end of this post for more details.
I first used a die to cut the card shape out of a pocket protector (you could also hand cut the shape of the card and then hole punch the bottom if you don’t have a die). To strengthen the bottom of the card and add a pop of color, I folded a strip of patterned paper in half and then used the die to just cut out the holes.
There are several ways that you can close up the shaker pocket...fuse tool, double sided adhesive, washi tape, etc., but I chose to run it through my sewing machine. I sew the bottom and two sides, add the confetti, and then close off the top.
Next comes the embellishments! Once you have the shaker base done, you can add whatever you want to the front. I typed out my verse and cut it into strips before attaching it to the front of the card.
I created these watercolor floral die cuts by stamping the florals from the Jenny Stamp with water soluble crayons and then cutting them out with the coordinating dies.
I used a mix of die cuts, epoxy stickers, and stamped florals to embellish the front of the pocket. You could also insert embellishments into the pocket if you are worried about them falling off of the front.
The birthday theme of the Jenny Collection went perfectly with this verse about being reborn as a new creation. Why not celebrate our re-birthday?!
Head on over to the Felicity Jane shop and grab the Jenny Collection to document whatever it is that you are celebrating!
Until next time!

Hola! Realmente me encantó tu tarjeta y yo también he querido usar los versos bíblicos para mis tarjetas y no se ocurría como hacerlo. Te felicito! Tienes muy buen gusto y mucha imaginación. Dios te bendiga.
What font and what size of print do you use? I’m new at the art of memory dex making.
Hi Lindsey,
I am so so so so so… happy that you are creating faith based projects, in particular with the Memorydex dies. I have been trying to come up with ideas on how to make myself “bible scripture” type Memorydex cards but just couldn’t come up with any ideas. Please continue to create more of these along with your bible journaling projects – and please continue to make a video process as well as it sure helps to see the process in action. Thank you and stay blessed!
