Family Binder Spread | Ulrike Dold

Hi FJ friends,

Today I have a family binder spread for you and I am so exciting for this. I am sharing not often binder spreads, but this one with the new gorgeous Bailey collection was so fun to make! I had the idea to use many circle elements and also to create some shaker pockets in circle shape. I also wanted to fussy cut the flowers from the "Floral & Hearts" paper to use them as my border on the bottom.

First I cut my FJ Essentials white cardstock in shape and used a Planner punch board to set the 2x3 holes. I used a metal die circle with 4 Inch and punched out a circle for my picture. Then I backed it with a black and white family portrait from our last summer vacation, stamped the title "Love this life with you" with the cute Bailey Stamp set on the left side. I began to fussy cut the wonderful Bailey flowers from the Floral paper and put them on the border of my page.

I glued them on the bottom and cut them below with a scissors to make them flush with the paper. I used white tulle and my sewing machine and stitch a tulle strip over the flowers. I also cut the overlapping tulle.

Then I used circle dies in different sizes and made white cardstock, some plastic from the Bailey journaling card packaging and white tulle circle shapes. I also used the "Floral & Hearts" paper to make some circles with the black and white heart pattern too. I made shaker circles and used for the back the white cardstock circles. I filled them with the adorable sequin mix from the Bailey collection and covered them alternate with plastic and with tulle. I also filled a circle with the cut heart epoxy shapes, a die cut heart and some tiny fussy cut hearts from the "Hearts & Plaid" paper. Then I used my sewing machine to close them.

I moved them around on my page to search for the right positions and glued them on my binder pages. I typed a Disney quote from Lilo & Stitch about family and printed it out. Then I cut it into paper strips and glued them under my title.

I decorated my page with some die cut shape word strips and a label from the Bailey Die Cut Shapes. I used 3D Dots to add some dimension. I also added some of the cute tiny heart stamps with black ink across my page and glued with the little Madison Alphabet stickers the word "Family" on the top of the right page.

To finish off my page I glued some of the cute little Bailey sequins here and there, a Bailey chipboard heart and some of the little black hearts from the Jenny alphabet.
