Favorite Flowers Layout | Ulrike Dold

Hi FJ friends,

I am back today with my 2nd June blog post on the Felicity Jane inspiration page today. This week we have the theme "flowers" on the blog and I've made a layout with the gorgeous FJ Brie May Kit for it. The kit is so cute and I love all the bright colors and the butterflies. I can’t say which embellishments are my favorites - they are all fantastic. And as always it is the perfect combination of patterned papers, alphabet stickers and wonderful embellishments with different textures to make pretty projects.

I really love flowers and when I thought about my layout I had my title first. I wanted to use some of the cute frames from the Brie Frames & Hearts paper to add photos from all my favorite flowers on one layout.

First I searched for photos from all my favorite flowers and I found five pictures with my top 6 of them. Then I fussy cut five frames from the Brie Frames & Hearts paper and framed my pictures. I pushed them around on my layout until I found the perfect position for them all. I glued them on my white 12x12 cardstock and used foam pads for two of them to add more dimension.

I decorated the frame with the scallops using the cute black and white striped bow from the Brie Die Cut Shapes and added the pom pom garland and the Brie "Pretty" die cut on my layout.

I splattered some gold paint across my page and glued on my title. The word "favorite" from the Brie Puffy Shapes matches perfectly on the yellow tag and the gold Puffy Alphabet from the Brie Kit is so perfect in size. Not tos big and not tos small. The Essentials Puffy Alphabet Stickers in all the different colors are so versatile and I love them so much. Do you have all the pretty colors?

I wanted to use some of the pretty Brie papers, so I cut off a little strip on the top of  my white cardstock and glued the beautiful floral Brie paper behind it. I tore the white cardstock a little bit and used my stapler to fix it on the patterned paper.

On the left edge on the bottom I folded the cardstock down and fixed the paper and the cute flower die cut with my stapler too. I used the yellow stripes & bow paper from the Brie Kit and glued it behind the edge. I printed out my very long journaling and cut it into strips. I glued them bit by bit on my layout. I wrote in my journaling about all my favorite flowers  and I wrote why I love them and about the things and experiences I associate with them.

To decorate my layout more I used the butterflies from the Brie stamp set and stamped them with black ink on my layout. I numbered all my frames/flowers on the frames and used the puffy alphabet stickers in Gold, Black, Pinkish and White and also the pink Brooke Puffy Alphabet Stickers and the Polka Dot Essential Alphabet Stickers.

Then I added some more embellishments on the frames and I love the look of the different embellishments on them. The chipboard flairs are so amazing and puffy stickers are my all time favorites. In this kit I especially love the layered butterflies too and I used two of them in different sizes and paper (paper + vellum) and fixed them together with my stapler. I also used two die cut shapes in light blue and love the look of them on my layout.

To finish off my page I used the Henley Epoxy Dots in Mint and Pink and added some of them from the bottom to the top of my page.

I hope I could inspire you in one way or another. Until the next time.

Ulli
