Finally Reunited Scrapbook Layout | Suzanna Stein

Hey everyone, I’m back again with more crafty inspiration! This time, I’m using the new Brooke collection to create a fun and vibrant scrapbook layout!

As soon as I opened this kit up I knew I was going to want to hoard that tiny vellum pad. So I decided to avoid that, it would be the first thing I use! I immediately thought of punching them into circles, and decided to go with it!

I layered that fun crepe trim along the left edge of my page and used it not only for dimension, but as an anchor point for my vellum circles. Most of the circles peek from behind this trim or surround it.

I also brought some of them over to my photo and had them peeking from behind the layers.

There are two things I have loved incorporating into my layouts recently. The first you saw in my last post here on the blog - letter layering. I used two different alphas, one patterned/flat and one solid/puffy. I layered the puffy over the flat, and outlined the white alphas so they would pop against the white background. I love the way this looks and how it keeps a title from taking over a layout that already has a lot going on.

The second, is placing my date stamp in a random location on my layout. I’ve been putting it in a place that I would normally put a cluster of embellishments, and instead, I let the ghost stamping be the cluster.

And like all of my layouts, I finished it off with a few tiny clusters and some splatters of gold craft mist. I absolutely love how this layout turned out! It’s vibrant, reminds me of spring, and has tons of texture!

I can’t wait to see what you’re creating with the Brooke collection! Don’t forget to use the hashtag #fjbrooke on Instagram so we can see your projects!

I’ll see you in my next post with more scrappy goodness!
