FJ 30 Day Journal Challenge - Day 13 & 14 | Sheree ForcierNov 07, 2018
Today I’m sharing another two days in my FJ 30 Day Journal Challenge traveler’s notebook. I’m loving the focus on journaling every day!
Day 13 was all about my trip back to the eye specialist…not such a happy day but it’s good to document the bad with the good right? It’s real life and what’s happening right now.
I started with a plain white background with my journaling, added a Brooke kit die cut to the top of the page, along with some pretty clouds that I cut from one of the Brooke kit papers. I adhered some raindrop charms under one of the clouds then added the ‘meh’ stamp from the Brooke stamp set as the title for the day.
At the bottom of the page I added some pretty Hannah kit scalloped washi tape, then did a little more stamping. I used a phrase from the London stamp set under the journaling, then the Kate stamp set for the day and the FJ Roller Stamp for the date. Some machine stitching finished the page off and added a little texture.
I had a funny little story to tell about something that happened on Day 14. One of our guinea pigs stood up to a big bird that was trying to eat the piggy food through the wire on their hutch…and little Willow wasn’t having it! She stood there telling the big bird off and then got super excited when the bird flew away! Such a brave little pig and she was so proud of herself!
I used the Dot paper from the Hannah kit for the background, then because there was so much journaling on this day I tried to keep the rest pretty simple. I added stitching around the journaling, added the photo at the top along with a black paper clip, a Lola chipboard word, a Brie flair and a tiny puffy heart.
I stamped a phrase from the Jane stamp set onto some plain white cardstock, stitched it to the bottom of the journaling, then added the day and date at the bottom of the page. Another tiny puffy heart completed the look.
You can see my process it the short video below:
I’m having so much fun mixing items from the older FJ kits with the newer ones and I can always find just the right stamp to suit my theme too. I hope I’ve inspired you to go back though your stash and use some of those older stamps and embellishments on your next project!
Thank you for joining me on the inspiration page today! See you again soon!
