FJ Stash Kit + Lovable Moments Layout | Anne Keller

Hello everyone,

I have a big post for you today. Do you all miss your monthly Felicity Jane kit? I do. A lot. (Don't worry, though, it will be back in August!) But, if I'm honest, I have a lot of pretty things lying in some boxes. You too? So, what about making our own Felicity Jane kit?

I started with the beautiful 6x8 print (this was a freebie a few months ago) and added some big paper scraps. Everything matches perfectly, even if you use a lot of different collections. I chose my favorite color combination pink-yellow-mint/blue with a lot of black and white. Nine papers (most of them are scraps) are enough for me.

After that I collected a lot of embellishments. I have an FJ drawer, so I only had to look through all the pretty left-overs from previous kits. If you put together your own kit, it's good to choose 5 or more different embellishments. Be careful that there is something flat, like die cuts, something dimensional like chipboard, something big like the wood veneer and something small like the little puffy stickers. You can also make your own embellishments with fussy cutting or stamping.

I also put together some journaling cards. It's easy to build a kit using the recipe of an original Felicity Jane kit.

And now some finishing touches: alphas, stickers, a handful little extras like the sequins or some pieces of ribbon and a stamp.

That's all I need!

Now, I'm ready to start creating...

I made a layout for the 'dads' theme this week. I used a black and white photo and not the brightest colors.

I layered some paper behind my photo and clustered the title on my photo/paper stack.

I used a combination of a wood veneer, a foam word sticker and some of the essential alphas that came with the Alexis kit.

On the opposite I painted a black area and used it for my journaling. I cut out another polaroid frame (you can use a die cut as stencil) and glued the journaling (printed on vellum) on it. After that I finished everything with some little puffy hearts and a chipboard circle.

Thanks for following me today. I have some more layouts with my own FJ kit and I hope you check back later to see them.

This is what I needed! I haven’t done a layout in quite some time and I have lots of stuff to use. I love the layers on your layout. GREAT job.
