Welcome to the Felicity Jane Blog today! It’s me Sandra with a new scrapbook layout called ‘Flower Love’. I mixed papers and embellishments from a variety of collections from FJ. The scrapbook page is an homage to flowers. I love to have flowers in our home. They make me happy. So why not scrapbook about what makes you happy?! Let’s have a look at the layout:
The eye-catchers on this layout are three handmade rosettes. The rosettes are effortless to make and they really add a special touch onto your layouts.
You only need a few items to make a pretty rosette ornament. I used rectangular pieces of paper (sizes approximately 2.5”x4”, 3.5”x5” and 4”x5”), double-sided tape, some baker's twine, and a scoring board (or a bone folder). And I googled ‘how to make a paper rosette’ and just followed the instructions.
Did you spot the Bailey Heart Bead that I added onto the title? Check out the above photo if you haven’t. I think it’s the little details that make all the difference :).
In addition to the rosettes, I used stamped details for decoration. The stamps from Madison and Harper worked just perfectly for this layout. Either I stamped onto the background paper to add lovely details, or I stamped onto white cardstock and cut the stamped image with my scissors. I also sewed two delicate hearts onto the background to add an airy feel to the page.
To finish the layout, I added a variety of die cut shapes, a cute little tag, journaling cards, and other adorable embellishments from different FJ collections.
