Flowers Layout | Leigh Ann Odynski

Hello FJ friends! Leigh here, to share my new page all about florals. I chose all the Felicity Jane floral stamps from the kits over the past year, and stamped them in three spots on the layout. I liked the juxtaposition of the line images in black against the loose watercolor mixed media. It is easy to create your own patterned paper with the FJ stamps as well.

Stamp your FJ floral images in a waterproof black ink, and heat set it before moving on to the next step. Add Mixed media watercolor splotches to the stamped areas of the page.  By letting the watercolor air dry, you can get the dried edge water spots.

The six photos of flowers around our new house document the changes we have seen in the last year. I chose a solid color and a different black and white pattern to go behind each photo, and tilted them at different angles behind the photos.  The photo with the bow over it has the Brie frame pattern behind it and no solid color, since the frame was larger than the other mats I made. I added the FJ grid washi over each photo and then zig-zag stitched over it.

The title was stamped from the London Stamp Set, and added over the Zoey Die Cut heart. I wrote the journaling with a dark pink permanent pen, under the photo grid. Up close, you can see a bit of the mixed media area better, and how the coral, pink and yellow colors interacted.

Have you tried a layout with six photos on it? I like the fact that there are several photos documented here, and hope you try your hand at stamping the FJ florals on your next page. Thank you for visiting today!
