Hello crafty friends!
When I saw the beautiful journaling cards in the Millie Kit this month I knew that my “Friday Favorites” project for this week would have to be a pocket page spread. That ‘love’ card is just perfection and all the other cards just co-ordinate so perfectly!
Right away I decided that I wanted to stitch the “love” word using matching embroidery threads from my stash.
I pierced some stitching holes along each letter and handstitched each one in the matching colour. Then I added a blue die cut heart at the end of the ‘e’ and a mustard label stamped with a phrase from the Krystal Stamp Set.
For the photo next to the “love” card I stamped a phrase from the Millie stamp set right at the bottom.
I stamped the “xoxo” banner from the Millie Stamp Set onto some white cardstock, cut it out and added it to the photo at the bottom of the first page.
I ran the tag journaling card through my printer to add the text, stitched around the outside with my sewing machine and punched out the hole at the top so I could add some twine. I added the date using the FJ Roller Date Stamp and finished off with a tiny puffy heart sticker.
For the journaling card at the top of the second page, I chose the sweet pink card with the tiny hearts and stitched around the edge. I chose one of the awesome new Millie Designer Tags and opened it up to find out the dimensions, then used Photoshop to create some journaling that could be printed inside. Once the journaling was printed onto the tag, I added a smaller photo inside, stamped the date and added another tiny puffy heart sticker.
The front of the tag was decorated with a circular heart die cut, the alphabet stickers and a thin strip of the “Scallop” patterned paper. I crocheted some twine with a simple chain stitch to make some cord to tie onto the holes of the tag, then attached the tag to the top of the journaling card. Once inside the pocket page, the top of the tag will sit outside the pocket so it can easily be lifted up.
At the bottom of the journaling card I used a die cut label and a stamp from the Millie stamp set.
The photo to the right was stamped with a phrase from the Jeana Stamp Set.
At the bottom of the second page is another photo. I stamped a red label with a phrase from the Hope Stamp Set and adhered it to the bottom along with a mustard miniwide paper clip.
I made the journaling card to the right by cutting the background from the “Scallop” paper. I love that this paper has all the kit colours in it and matches in perfectly with the “love” card at the beginning of the spread! I printed some journaling to add to the centre, stitched across the top and bottom then finished off with the date and another puffy heart sticker.

I’m so happy to have my first pocket page for the year added into my album!
