Fun At The River | Banning Lane

Hi! Dannielle here to share another layout. I have LOVED working with the "Next Stop" kit this month!

Here is a look at my layout.

ahhh... the papers in this kit are just so perfect. I love using them, but I am going going to be so sad when they are gone!!

I took this picture of my little girl a couple of weeks ago. We were camping and playing in the water is one of her favorite camping activities. I knew I wanted this layout to be fun, and bright, and summery!

I knew going into this layout that it was going to be more about scrapping a cute pictures versus telling a story. Because I didn't have to worry about where to put my words, I could play a little bit more than I usually do.

I decided I wanted to add a bunch of layers behind my photo. I just started grabbing scraps of paper that I had left over from other project and layering them behind my photo until they looked good. I did make a small effort in making sure things like the striped papers were balanced around the photo, but I didn't put too much thought into the whole process.

When I was done with layering the papers, I looked through my embellishments and picked out a couple that I thought would look good. I think that pineapple is so cute!

For my title I mixed and matched a few things. The summer banner came from the cut apart sheet, the small alphabet stickers I got from the shop, and the big black chipboard stickers came in the kit.

As a finishing touch I used some light blue patterned paper from the kit to add a border around my layout.
