Hi everyone!
I'm back with another layout to share featuring the gorgeous 'Summer' kit! I've loved creating with this kit over the last month! The colors are so gorgeous! On this layout I teamed up the aqua and yellow in the kit for a bright and fresh color palette!
I documented a photo of my eldest daughter and I. We recently took a little trip, just the two of us, so that we could have some fun girly time together. We had a fabulous weekend away, and I really enjoyed spending one on one time with her. We took this selfie when we went out to a local cafe on the first day.
I used the beautiful aqua water color paper as the background for my layout. I added a strip of white cardstock down the middle of the page with a thin strip of the black honeycomb paper tucked under each side. I also added some machine stitching down each side of the white cardstock, which adds some nice texture to the page.
I used one of the 'Summer' subscriber cut files as part of my title. Using my Cameo, I cut the word 'fun' out of white cardstock, and then added an offset, which I cut from the aqua solid color paper. I adhered it to my layout using some foam tape, which gives it some extra height and dimension. I completed my title using the puffy alphabet stickers from the kit. I like how the word 'girls' nestles nicely in underneath the cut file.
I added that beautiful yellow die cut flower to the corner of my photo using foam tape. How fabulous are the die cuts in the kit? I also added a couple of the circular chipboard stickers to the layout, and I love that these are travel themed, which made them perfect for this layout!
I typed up my journaling and then added it in strips underneath the photo. To finish the layout off I added a strip of the grid washi tape at the bottom of the page, stamped the word 'relax' a couple of times, and then lastly I added some black ink splatters to the page.
There are lots of fun and different color combinations that you can create with your kits! I had so much fun creating this layout, using just the aqua, yellow, and neutral items within the kit, and I love the end result!
