Hi friends! Dannielle here, and I have a fun and silly layout to share with you all today
First lets take a look at my finished layout:
My niece Molly got an iPod for her birthday, and she was pretty excited about being able to text everybody with it. She had asked me to send her a selfie so she could put it with my contact information. I couldn't help but send her several silly crazy ones because well... I am the silly crazy aunt. Later when looking through all my pictures from this day I realized how fun it would be to use them all on a layout. So that is what I did.
The first thing I did was figure out how I wanted to group all these silly selfies on my layout. I quickly decide to create a grid with them, and took just a few minutes to arrange them in a way that looked balanced. Once I had them how I liked them, I moved on to picking what papers I wanted to use to mat my photos. Again I was looking for a nice balance.
It was at this point that I decide to use some minty green paper to add a border around my entire layout. I also used my sewing machine to add a couple messy lines as well.
After I had my pictures arranged, I moved on to embellishing my layout. This was literally a keep adding until it looks good situation. I also decided to use a stencil and some modeling paste to add some texture to my page. I don't use this technique very often, but every time I do I love it.
My favorite part about this layout is all the layers of white. You have the white modeling paste, a white doily, and the white scalloped rectangle that I used to frame all my photos. I am a huge fan of white, and layering white on white just makes me smile.
The last thing I had to do was add my journaling, and I opted for strips of typed journaling to do that.
I really do love the way this layout turned out. I honestly never make silly layouts like this about myself, so this will be a fun one to add to my album.
