Hello friends! Today I have another fun birthday themed layout to share with you using the gorgeous Zoey Kit. This kit really is just so perfect to scrap all those birthday photos you still have in your scrappy to-do pile! My layout is celebrating my daughter's tenth birthday earlier this year.
I used the gorgeous aqua solid paper for my background then cut down a piece of white cardstock and centred it on the page. I cut two strips of the bold stripe paper used my fringing scissors along the length of each strip and tucked them under the sides of the white cardstock. I think the fringing is so fun and adds to the whole party feel of the page! The dotty branding strips were then added down the sides as well and I used my sewing machine to add some stitching.
It was then time for the fun part…adding the photo and embellishments! My photo was positioned roughly in the centre of the page and I used my tiny attacher to staple the 'happy day' acetate speech bubble to the top. The 'celebrate' acetate word combined with the chipboard numbers were perfect for my title and I added one of the tiny tags to the '0' as an extra layer.
When I saw all the cute little banner pieces in the die cut pack I knew I just had to make a banner for this page! I mixed in a few tiny tags and die cut sequins as well then threaded them onto the thread that was included in the tiny tags pack. I managed to find some brads in my stash that matched the colours of the kit perfectly to secure the banner to the page.
Next I decided to add some stamping! Using the 'Hooray' stamp set I stamped 'yay' and 'hooray' at the top of the page, then 'make a wish' under the banner. I then added 'something to smile about' from the Zoey stamp set.
Three little puffy stars scattered around the page were the perfect finishing touch!
