Gratitude Journaling with the Rebekah kit | Mandy Melville

Hey everyone!

I'm so excited to be joining in with the Gratitude Journaling Challenge this month! I love the idea of intentionally journaling about things that I'm grateful for, as I think it really helps to create a positive mindset! I've decided not to set myself a time limit for this challenge, as I probably won't have the time to do work on it daily, and I want to give myself freedom with the project so that I enjoy the process. I'm using one of my FJ traveler's notebook inserts for this challenge, and I've started with the first prompt... What do you cherish most about your friendships?  I've used the beautiful Rebekah kit for this spread, along with some other bits and pieces from previous kits.

I started over on the left hand side of the spread by adding some strips of patterned paper from the Rebekah kit down the left hand side of the page. I then typed up my journaling on a sheet of printer paper that I'd trimmed down to size, and I adhered it down the inside edge of that page. I had a small space left underneath the journaling, so I stamped a row of mini hearts there using one of the Essentials Mini Stamp sets.

For my title, I combined a wood veneer piece that I had left over from my Amber kit, with the Lola Mini Puffy Alphabet Stickers and the Joy Foam Alphabet stickers. I love combining different fonts and alphabets to create fun and interesting titles! Underneath the title, I repeated the same stamp that I used on the left hand page. Doing this helps to tie the two pages together.

I created a pretty cluster of embellishments in the bottom right hand corner of the page by layering together some die cuts from the Rebekah collection. I love those beautiful florals from the kit! I also included the little 'love' die cut piece which was from the Shay collection.

To finish the layout off I added some little wood veneer hearts to the page, which tie in nicely with the wood veneer piece that I used for my title.
