Hello everybody! I’m so honored to be a guest designer for Felicity Jane this month. Thank you for having me here. The Grace collection is absolutely gorgeous. I love the soft colors paired with the black and white designs. And the puffy alphabet in this soft mint color is just fabulous.

For my first project this month, I created an insert for my 2020 Project Life album. I chose the design with all the squares because I really love the look of it and also because it allows me to use a lot of pictures and cards. In this spread I’m documenting a walk we took during the month of March in an arboretum. We saw beautiful flowers and I took many pictures. The colors of the Grace collection went really well with my pictures. I cut down several 3x4 journaling cards to make them into squares and for the rest, I cut the squares out of the 12x12 sheets of the different pattern papers.

I had to use the mint puffy alphabet because I love it and I’m trying not to hoard pretty things (anymore), and so I decided to write my title and the date with it. For the title, I arranged the letters onto two rows; I really like the look of it that way. For the date, I placed the numbers on the middle of the square card and added a scalloped chipboard piece underneath to make it stand out more. Mint + pink + black & white is a favorite combo of mine.

I also added embellishments from the die cut shapes in the center of three of the pattern squares and I repeated the same combination of two embellishments (one little heart on top of a word on a chipboard piece) onto three of my pictures to give more coherence to the whole spread.

I didn’t add too much onto my pictures because I want them to be the focus of my spread. But the colors of the Grace collection complimented them really well and made them stand out even more. I really love how this insert turned out.

Check out the process video below to watch how I created this Project Life spread.

Thanks again for having me here and for letting me share my spread with you. I can’t wait to create my next project with the gorgeous Grace collection. What will you create with the Grace kit? Have a great day.
