Hello FJ friends!

I’m back on the blog to share with you another project I created with the beautiful Grace collection. This time, I decided to create a Traveler’s Notebook size spread. I love this format with the vertical pictures.

This project started with the journaling card with the quote “wherever life plants you, bloom with grace”. I thought it was very inspiring and decided to create a spread as a reminder to myself, especially nowadays, to always try and do my best, stay positive and focus on gratitude whatever the external circumstances might be.



Once again, I really wanted to use several pattern papers on this project because I find them so beautiful. So I decided to build a grid around the quote card. To make the spread more dynamic, all of the pieces of paper are interacting with the edges of the white background. I also love creating additional texture on my spreads and this is why I used machine stitching around all the pattern papers (all but the quote card, because the text was to close to the edges). I really like that look. There are only small pieces of paper, but I used five different pattern papers on this page. I added only a few embellishments because I really wanted the focus to be on the pattern papers.



On the left side, I chose to use a full page photo of myself. Then, I added a tag from the kit and I used the puffy alpha stickers to write “ME”, then I stuck down the mini subtitle “right now” (typed on my computer). I also used a die cut embellishment to add some interest to the tag. As always, I love the combination of black & white + mint.



Lastly, to link the two sides of the spread, I added a large black & white puffy sticker that goes across the two pages. I had to cut it in half. I hesitated before cutting it but I really like how it turned out. This is a simple spread but I like having these little reminders to myself that I can go back to when I feel the need.
