Hi Felicity Jane fans, Evelyn here and I’m super excited to be back here on the blog with you this month as a guest designer for the gorgeous Summer Kit. When I received my kit I pulled out a bunch of photos from our trip to Washinton D.C. last year that I wanted to document. With all the travel themed embellishments this month’s kit is the perfect match.

And here is my page…

I absolutely love the Summer chipboard shapes with all the icons and phrases. The chipboard arrows were perfect for my idea to use them as bullet points for a multiphoto layout. I printed the journaling on the cardstock and added the stamp with the dots in between to create sections for the photos and separate the different activities of the day. I also added some phrase stamps and chipboard stickers together with the journaling. How cute is that heart shaped shades icon? My journaling talks about all the different things we saw and did that day.

After the journaling part was done I added a border with the black honeycomb paper. I really love all the colors in the Summer kit but my layout has been so busy with all the journaling and five photos. So I decided on using something more neutral this time – black and white for the win. I fussy-cutted around the hexagons and I really like how that turned out with the rest of my page.

Last but not least the photos found there place next to the journaling sections. To add some more interest I’ve used a bit of the grid washi tape peeking out on the sides. And I love that washi and want to use it everywhere now.
