The July "Happy Day" kits designed by Suse Fish are shipping soon and I thought I would share a little project using the Happy Day Stamp Set today.
As soon as I saw these stamps, I knew they would be perfect for some little "pick me up" cards - something to brighten a friend's day. I am not much of a cardmaker, but I made five super simple 3x3 cards that are the perfect addition to a little gift.
I simply stamped my icon + coordinating sentiment and colored it in a bit! Here's a bit of a closer look at each one.
I added a bit of sparkle and shine to each card with a glitter brush pen and a little glossy accents. It's hard to see in the photos, but in real life, it gives these cards just enough of a boost.
For the sentiment on the "Happy Day" card below, I trimmed the kit title from the cut apart sheet included in the paper pack. Also, you'll notice the cupcake image on the stamp set comes with both an outline and solid image, so for this one, I just stamped the solid image using a few ink colors and stamped the outline in black on top. Super easy.
For this last card, I stamped the cloud in VersaMark ink and heat embossed it silver so it would match the sentiment.
As I mentioned, I am not a great cardmaker, but I am super happy with these simple cards that took just minutes to create.
I can't wait to play with this kit a bit more and see all of the beautiful things you create as well. Don't forget to share in the Felicity Jane Facebook group!
