"Happy Days" Traveler's Notebook Spread | Tina Stepanova
Hey everyone,
It's Tina here on the blog today! And I can't wait to share with you my new project created using the Mix & Match Kit No.1! It was so much fun to dig into my FJ stash and work with some older materials which were combined into such a lovely kit!
I started by preparing two pieces of plain white cardstock to fit into a traveler's notebook. After that that I trimmed a piece of floral patterned paper from the kit to be the same width as the cardstock fringe. Next I adhered the floral paper and the fringe to both white cardstock pieces. Then I simply cut along the center to divide them.
After the background was finished I adhered two photos of my daughter to the center of the spread above the fringe. Then I decided to add a title using the die cut shape "happy" from the kit and Rebekah puffy alphabet stickers.
The top of the layout felt a little bit empty, so I decided to cut out the scallop edge of the plain mustard yellow paper, adhered it to the top of the pages and added some stitching.
In the end I printed my journaling, cut it into strips and adhered them in the upper left corner of the spread to balance the two pages. I also decided to add small cute hearts to the title sentiment using the same Rebekah puffy alphabet stickers. And that's all! It was really easy to play with materials from different kits so wonderfully combined together into a Mix & Match Kit.
Thanks so much for joining me today and happy crafting!
