Hi creative friends!
Mandy here today to share an Easter themed layout with you using a combination of the Henley and Alexis kits. Mixing your Felicity Jane kits is a great way of creating fresh colour combinations! I brought together the gorgeous coral colour from the Henley kit with the bright yellow from the Alexis kit, and I really love this bright and happy colour palette! Here’s the page that I created…
On this layout, I documented a couple of photos of my youngest daughter Eleanor, collecting Easter eggs on Easter morning. She had so much fun doing the egg hunt, and was so happy to fill up her basket up with yummy chocolate eggs. I loved seeing the excitement and joy that it brought her!
To start my layout off, I trimmed down my white cardstock and matted it on the black and white chevron patterned paper from the Henley kit. The bold pattern gave the page a really striking border, and helped everything to really pop! I also added some machine stitching around the edge of the white cardstock to give the page some additional texture. Next I layered together a couple of patterned papers to create a matt for my photos to sit on. The bright yellow one is from the Alexis kit, and the soft pink one is from the Henley kit. I also used one of the solid color papers from the Henley kit to matt my photos.
To create my title, I combined one of the gorgeous puffy titles from the Alexis collection, with the gold foil alphabet stickers from the Henley kit. I love mixing different fonts/alphas together to create my titles!
I created a pretty floral cluster to the left of the photos using a washi sticker and a die cut from the Henley kit. As I mentioned in my last blog post, I stuck the washi stickers onto white paper first and then fussy cut them so that I could use them like a die cut. How beautiful are these florals?!
Underneath the right hand side of the photos, I tucked a tag that I made using one of the patterned papers from the Henley kit. I used a tag that I had left over from the Heidi Story Tags pack as a template and traced around it to get the shape. I also used one of the reinforcer stickers from that pack to finish the tag off.
I finished the layout off with some typed journaling, a sprinkling of the gold brushed sequins from the Henley kit, and a couple of Emeline wood hearts.
Thanks so much for joining me here on the blog today! I hope that you enjoyed taking a look at my layout, and that you’ve been inspired! I’ve loved creating with the Henley kit over the past month, and I’m so looking forward to diving into the lovely Brooke kit as soon as it arrives!
