Jana here with more inspiration from the festive Jenny kit. It has been really hard to decide which project I will choose for a blog post because I just had to keep making new ones. Plus I have been busy making some birthday cards because they always come handy, right? For today I chose a layout that is very up to date (miracles do happen).
In summer we go to the UK to visit our big family and we stay in a big house altogether and have lots of fun. We always take a family photo. It has become a tradition and it is so good to see that (almost) every year there is some addition to the family plus the kids grow so fast! This year we took TWO family portraits: one traditional and one in fancy dress costumes. So much fun! I included them both on the layout.
As for the layout I just HAD TO use the stripy paper. I love the colours and happy feel it gives you. And it goes nicely with the family pictures! If you followed me for a bit you know that I can't resist creating fringe from stripes. So here you go! I tore the top bit of white background paper and slid two stripes underneath. Those have been cut into a fringe. It did take a bit of careful measurement to fit it all into 8.5x11 inch and to include all the colours provided.
The title consists of two different fonts. I love those puffy titles! And the alphabet is so versatile. You can never go wrong with black. There are also a few white die cut leaves that I made using the metal die cuts from Sarah kit.
I always struggle with ideas for what to put underneath the photos but using 3D foam tape makes the magic happen for me. The little hearts are fussy cut from the Jenny paper.
Fringe. I don't have the special scissors but I enjoy cutting the paper. Such a relaxing technique.
I repeated the pattern of fringe in the top left corner using a photo and few embellishments.
There you go. Stripes for the win. And now tell me, do you also cut stripy paper into a fringe? Have a great time creating. The Jenny kit is so much fun!
