Hello FJ Friends!
Today I’d like to share a layout with you featuring the gorgeous Hope Kit. While I love so many things in this kit one of my absolute favourites is the pack of mini file folders!
The mini file folders are super cute and so versatile too! They are the perfect thing to add to any project for hidden journaling, you could combine them together to create a mini album or use them on a layout behind photos like I have on this page.
I started off by cutting the white cardstock to 10 inches wide, then backed it with the dots paper to create side borders. I also cut the scalloped strips from two pieces of the solid colour paper and tucked them underneath each side of the white cardstock to add a touch of colour.
I machine stitched down each side of the white cardstock, as well as each side of three mini file folders to create pockets. The mini file folders were arranged on the page, overlapping each other then I added the two photos – one on top of the bottom folder and the other tucked into the middle folder.
I added the gorgeous floral die cut with foam dots to the black striped folder, then stamped the word “fresh” using the phrase from the Hope stamp set onto white cardstock before adding it to the tab using some staples. An embroidered heart was adhered to the right of the photo and a button stitched into place as well.
The puffy “happy” title sticker is from an older FJ kit called Alexis which I added to the bottom folder. To complete the title I added a label cut from the Grace Kit Labels paper, then added the word “girl” using the Dusty Rose Essentials Puffy Alphabet Stickers. Stitching was added, then the scalloped die cut was adhered underneath.
The circular die cut was added to the side of the photo, then an embroidered heart and button were added to the left of the title. I stamped the date using the FJ Roller Date Stamp onto a Megan Tiny Tag, then hung it from the embroidered heart with some twine. I also used a Jenny Word Sticker to add to the tab of the floral folder and added a staple.
To finish off I added another embroidered heart to the top centre of the page, then added the journaling strips and stitched across each one for added texture.
Check out the video below to watch the process...
How will you use the mini file folders? I hope you’ll share your projects with us either on the Felicity Jane Facebook Group or on Instagram using #felicityjane because we’d love to see!
I’ll see you again with another Hope Kit project very soon!
