Hey there friends! I'm back today with a fun layout I created using the London kit. This month's kit is one of my all time favorites. I just cannot get enough of that color scheme and those pretty florals.
As soon as I saw those florals, I knew a little fussy-cutting action had to happen. I mixed the black & white florals with that fun mustard yellow, and I love the pop of color it ads!
The "happy" chipboard word was perfect for my title mixed with one of the stamps from the stamp set! I also used a light grey thread rather than white (which is what I usually use) to help the stitching stand out a bit against the light colors of the paper.
I tried out a bit of a new technique with this layout, and while I'm not 100% in love, I sure had fun (and that's really all that matters, right?). I felt like all of my ink colors were a bit on the dark side for this layout, so I used marker ink mixed with a little water to splatter on my finished layout.
I love how light the splatters came out, but I definitely had less control over where they ended up. I may not be super crazy about the placement of them, but I'm already looking forward to the next time I get to try it!
I would love to know - Do you ever start your layout with one specific product or color scheme in mind and just see where it ends up going?
That's kind of how this layout went, and I love the way it turned out!
