Hello FJ friends,
Anne here with you today and I have a new layout for you. I was inspired by a layout I saw on my Instagram feed last week and of course I didn't saved it... But I still had the main elements in my mind. A grid design in form of a strip. So I started my page with the memory of something I saw.
I started with the grid and I have to say: I love grids. Because grid designs are great for using all the pretty papers of your kit... By the way: My squares are 2,5x2,5 inch.
And then I found this beautiful packaging in my kit and decided to incorporate it in my design. It's a lovely variation from the usual grid design. I ruffled all the edges and glued the squares down very randomly. As soon as the grid is finished you can start embellishing. My favorite part...
Instead of a paper square I used a stamp to create another element. It wasn't easy to stamp on the packaging but with permanent ink and a calm hand it was possible. Be brave! I love the quote and decorated it with a little white puffy heart. Simple, but beautiful.
I used an black&white photo and layered some paper and tissue paper under it. The dimension is something I really love. A puffy word for my title and then I created a cluster around it with a label and a die cut. And then the playing part: Some black splatters and a paper strip for the ripped edge. Adding the date with a roller date stamp. Putting a photo corner on one corner of the squares. Some epoxy dots and little hearts. And then it's finished.
Do you find inspiration while scrolling through your social media feeds? And do you use them to create your own projects? I'd love to hear from you and see your projects with #felicityjane.
Have a great weekend!
