Happy Layout with Sketch + Process Video | Sheree Forcier

Hi friends! Today I have a layout to share with you created with the beautiful Henley kit along with a sketch and process video!

For this page design I really wanted to use circles. It’s been so long since I’ve used them on my layouts and I’m not sure why because they’re so fun! I’ve created a sketch for you and would love for you to play along!

I love working with sketches, especially if I’m in a creative rut and in need of a little inspiration to get me started. I haven’t marked where the photo should go on the sketch because you could use any of the circles as your photos or even pop a square photo on top!  If you’d like to have a go at the sketch I’d love to see what you come up with!  Don’t forget to use #fjsketches on IG if you post it there so we can check out your work.

For my version of the sketch I used the striking Chevron paper as my border with a white cardstock centre. I then used a variety of circle punches and dies to cut several circles from a selection of pretty papers in the kit and my photo then arranged them across the page.

I stitched a border around the white cardstock and added lots of messy stitching in the middle of the patterned paper circles.

The ‘happy’ puffy sticker from the Alexis Kit last month was combined with the gorgeous Henley Gold Foil Puffy Alphas for the title and I used three more circular elements from the kit to add to the design…a black heart die cut and two of the lovely washi stickers. I left the backing on the washi stickers so that one was sturdy enough to pop off the page with a foam dot.

To help balance out the design my journaling strips were added to the top left of the page where I also attached a gold mini heart clip along with a label for a little extra colour.

Of course I absolutely had to use the gorgeous brushed gold sequins too! I scattered some across the page in amongst the other circles then added some stamps from the Willow, Zoey and Hooray stamp sets to finish off the page.
