Happy Mail Layout | Ulrike Dold

Hi FJ friends,

Ulli here with you with our Mix-It-Monday on the blog today. For todays blogpost and my project I’ve used many different Felicity Jane collections and it was so much fun. Here is my 12x12 scrapbooking page.

I wanted to use the wonderful Katherine Vellum frames and first I cut a piece of white cardstock in the same shape. Then I glued my picture under the frame and glued both on the piece of cardstock. I wanted to use the Vellum frame with 3 D dots on my page and so I needed a less transparent look of it. Then I cut a big piece of paper from the Grace "Hearts & Labels" paper and added it on my page. I glued the picture in the frame with 3 D dots on the polka heart paper. I wanted to use the wonderful Katherine journaling card "This Is Me" and the floral library card and found another transparent element to add: the cute Madison Vellum Pocket. I decided to glue the Journaling Card and the Library Card in the pocket a little bit shifted over my picture.

Because of the theme of the layout, the first postcard from my son, I wanted to make a fun title with many puffy alphabet stickers and letters. The Rebekah Puffy Alphabet in white and the letters from the colored puffy stickers of the Amber Alphabet matched perfectly. I decided to use the colored Amber letter stickers for the letters which should be popping out. Both puffy alphabet stickers have the same height and so I added lines with white letters and the colored title letters between to write the title.

I added a big chipboard Speech Bubble in blush from the Denise collection on my pictures and added a second title "1st postcard" with the Rebekah Alphabet and the tiny letters of the Madison Puffy Alphabet in black. I added the cute tags from the Katherine Die Cut Shapes under the heart paper and decorated my page with the Katherine Puffy Stickers too.

I used the black designer tab from the Grace collection to add it on the blue Katherine Journaling Card. Then I typed my journaling with my typewriter on the floral library card and glued the red polka dot Journaling card behind it to make the card a little bit higher, so its easier to put it out and it also has a cute effect. I also cut a small stripe from the Hope "Floral & Stripes" paper and added it on the right border of my page. This part was a little bit too empty and this paper is very neutral and matches well with all the colorful embellishments on this layout.

At the end I splattered black ink across the page, stamped the date with a date roller stamp under my picture and added the cute little Grace Chipboard Bits here and there. Often I used 3 D dots to add more dimension. I also used the Epoxy Dots from the Henley and the Sarah collections and the Bailey Epoxy Hearts to add some little eye-catchers. I also added the "loving" stamp from the Katherine collection over the vellum pocket with my hidden journaling.
