Happy Moments Layout | Victoria Calvin

Hello everyone! I am back with a fun layout using the Felicity Jane Mila kit. This kits features some of the most beautiful muted colors with hints of black; perfect for fall scrapbooking projects!

I began this layout by creating an 8.5 x 11 background using the Spots and Stripes pattern paper and black card stock from my stash. I think black backgrounds can be perfectly paired with beautiful muted colors.

Next, I created a band of layered elements behind my black and white photo using two of the 3x4 pocket cards that are included in the Mila kit, a gorgeous gold glitter dipped tag, a die cut flower, two phrase labels ("sweet" and "this") and finished the cluster with a sweet little heart clip and wood veneer stars, all exclusive to Felicity Jane.

To the left of the photo, I altered and added the Mila doll die cut by coloring her skin brown with a Tombo Dual Brush Pen. Tip: Don't be afraid to alter embellishments for a more custom look!

Under the layered band, I added a title using the word die cut "happy" from the Mila die cut pack and the white foam word "moments" from the exclusive Mila Foam Sticker set.

Lastly, I added a bit of journaling under the title using a white Gelly Roll pen, and a die cut label and glitter star embellishment for added interest. Using the Mila stamp step, I stamped the phrase "the best part" directly on the die cut label with Versa Fine Black ink.

I hope your are enjoying this gorgeous Mila kit! Be sure to stop by again for more creative inspiration!

Oh wow! Your page is gorgeous!! I am absolutely in love with that bold black background! I almost always use white but this really makes me want to try a LO on black cardstock, too :)
