Hello FJ Friends,
It’s so lovely to have you here on the blog today! I think the gorgeous Katherine Kit would have to be one of my all time favourite Felicity Jane kits…I just love everything about it! I have a new layout to share with you featuring this beautiful kit...
I began by trimming down the red solid colour cardstock so that it was 12 x 12 but still had the scalloped strip at the bottom. I then trimmed down some white cardstock to layer on top. I used my sewing machine to add lots of messy stitching for some lovely texture and to help break up the plain white background. A border was stitched around the edge too.
I cut a piece from the paper packaging strip that you find included in the front of the paper pack. I love that it has a sampling of each paper printed across it and it allowed me to add a hint of each of the papers across the bottom of the page. I also used the polka dot strip from the same packaging piece and tucked it in behind before adding more stitching.
I used the rainbow vellum frame on top of my photo, adhering them together with vellum adhesive and some staples.
I used the pretty floral die cut piece at the bottom left of the frame with foam dots for dimension and the title was added underneath.
To the right of the photo I used the yellow library card and number die cuts to add some journaling. At the top of the card I used a Grace Designer Cardstock Tab which was stamped with the word “currently” from the Katherine Stamp Set. I also added the puffy tag sticker which I dangled from a mint miniwide paper clip. The tag was decorated with the number thirteen and a little starburst die cut.
More journaling strips were positioned under the title and I finished off the page with a label die cut stamped with the FJ Roller Date Stamp.
